Legacy Society Advisory Team

With all planned giving and estate planning considerations, you are advised to consult with an attorney and/or financial planner.  The following parishioners are estate planning attorneys and financial advisors/planners who are donating time as needed to help you. They are available to answer your general questions.

1 Rob Costello of Costello Financial Planning is a financial planner serving the Ann Arbor, MI and Chicago, IL area. Costello Financial Planning specializes in providing objective financial planning to help clients build, manage, grow, and protect their assets through life’s transitions.  As an independent, fee-only firm we are built to look and feel different from your traditional Wall Street brokerage firms. As opposed to traditional Wall Street brokers who receive compensation for selling specific products or funds, we do not sell any products. 2 James Housler has been a Partner and Senior Financial Life Advisor for Telemus since 2014.  He acts as a trusted advisor for high net worth families, assisting them in all matters pertaining to their personal and professional financial life goals.  James has spent more than 12 years working with affluent families across the country, and prior to joining Telemus was a Vice President for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Ann Arbor.  James is on the board for the Lansing Community College Foundation, and volunteers time and resources in supporting the American Cancer Society, CS Mott Children’s Hospital, the Chad Tough Foundation, the Evans Scholars Foundation and First Tee of Michigan.

 3Sarah Meinhart is an estate planning attorney and currently serves as the Washtenaw County Public Administrator and Co-Chair of the 2016-2018 Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Law Section for the Washtenaw County Bar Association.  She is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan.  Her practice is focused on probate and estate administration, and estate planning.  Sarah is a graduate of Albion College and Ave Maria School of Law.

 4Amy Morrissey is an estate planning attorney with Westerman & Morrissey, P.C.  She is currently an officer of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan.  She is also a Fellow in the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel. Amy has completed the Probate and Estate Planning Certificate Program through the Institute for Continuing Legal Education. She frequently lectures on estate planning issues.

5 Paul Nickodemus is Senior Vice President and external advisor consultant for PIMCO in the Southeastern Michigan area.  He has 22 years of investment and financial services experience.  Prior to joining PIMCO in 2006, Paul was an Advisor Consultant at Columbia Management Group.  He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation, which he received in 2004 through the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  James holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.

 6Fernando Ortiz Fernando is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. As a fee only, full service advisor in the Ann Arbor office of Valeo Financial Advisors, LLC. He specializes with the planning needs of university professionals, corporate executives and business owners. He is a member of the Washtenaw Estate Planning Council and currently serves on several boards/ committees including Kerrytown Concert House, The American Sailing Institute, The Financial Planning Association of Michigan, and also the Hope Medical Clinic.
